Cambridge Hen specialises in luxury hen weekends that take the planning pressure off.
We combine beautiful accommodation with carefully curated activities and experiences, all set in the stunning historic city of Cambridge and surrounding areas including Ely and Newmarket.

One month prior to arrival the remaining 50% is payable.

Accommodation details

Both Woodpecker barn and Kingfisher house are higher end luxury accommodation not budget hotels. Both the houses have large garden with outside terrace and dining areas overlooking beautiful countryside. Most groups prefer to spend time enjoying the accommodation relaxing in the hot tub or relaxing in the garden or within the well kitted out accommodation.

Woodpecker barn
Boasts not only the hot tub but also an infra red sauna and an outdoor heated swimming pool in the summer months. The large wrap around terrace has sun loungers and outdoor seating areas for the larger groups to relax.
Internally, the modern bright feel with the oak framed entrance way and the ambience of the exposed brickwork are a delight in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped with Meile appliances and high end units. The dedicated lounge will seat the whole group and there is a separate cosy lower lounge area for the group to spread out. The barn conversion has seven bedrooms, three bath or shower rooms and two ensuite bathrooms. There are seven bedrooms which can sleep up to 23 guests.

Kingfisher house
An old farm cottage converted to a beautiful modern farmhouse. The rear terrace overlooks open fields where you can hope to see a beautiful sunset from the hot tub. The side terrace overlooks the mature private main garden with large lawn area. There is a cosy seating room outside to enjoy a private chat. Internally, the house has a large open plan main kitchen diner with bespoke handmade green oak large dining table. Separate lounge with windows to three elevations overlooks garden and fields. There are six bedrooms which can sleep up to 18 guests. Two bathrooms and an ensuite shared by two bedrooms.

Both of the accommodations are supplied with indoor towels, all bed linen, shower gel and shampoo. We do not provide any food related items.

Cambridge is approx. 10 miles, Ely 8 miles, Newmarket Racecourse 12 miles, London 58 miles, Wilburton 2 miles.

Luke’s home was the perfect space for our friend’s hen. It was spacious, clean and set in beautiful surroundings. We lucked in with gorgeous weather so were able to make the most of the ample garden for cocktail making classes and other activities. The kitchen had plenty of utensils for us to use for all of our meals and plenty of space for all 17 of us to sit. Whilst in the countryside the house is only a 20-25 minute journey into Cambridge with really reasonable taxi prices. We had an amazing stay.
